AI Reconstruction of Subconscious Signals
Concept Overview
Dreams, as fragmented manifestations of the subconscious, are redefined here as key channels that connect the physical and the virtual. They are neither mere echoes of memory nor simple projections of imagination, but intermediaries that can be datafied.
In this work, dreams are understood as reinterpretations and extensions of reality within the human mind. Their fragmented sensory signals are captured through semantic description and brainwave activity, then mapped and translated into tangible visual landscapes using Stream Diffusion and TouchDesigner. Through this process, the intangible subconscious is transformed into digital dreams, archivable and shareable carriers of information that traverse the boundary between reality and virtuality.

As these fragments are externalized, they no longer remain solely personal. Instead, they converge within the larger field of the Noosphere—the collective layer of human thought and perception. In this sense, each dream fragment becomes part of a shared archive of the collective subconscious, extending beyond the individual and linking physical experience with virtual construction.

Technical Approach

The final outcome is presented as a visual performance video, where dream data flows, generates, and recombines on screen. It gestures toward a possible future: one in which human memory and perception, once bound to the individual, are digitized and integrated into the Noosphere, forming a living bridge between the virtual and the real.
